Eugene-Springfield and the greater Lane County area has for decades been a tremendous community for supporting and developing the arts, and many artists past and present have graced the WOW Hall stage in our nearly century of history. Here are just a handful of artists with Eugene roots that we love, and think you should too!

Aerodrone is a mix between new wave, rock, and electro, heavily influenced by both rock and electronic elements. American electro-rock band from Eugene, Oregon, that was founded in 2005 by Gary Zon.

Charles Thompson, better known as Black Francis, is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter known as frontman for Pixies. Following the band's breakup in 1993, he embarked on a solo career under the name Frank Black.


Tracy Bonham

Alternative Rock

Tracy Bonham is an American alternative rock musician. Born and raised in Eugene, Oregon, she is a classically trained violinist and pianist, and is also a self-taught guitarist. After building up a local following, Bonham signed to Island Records in 1995.

Andie Case is an American singer, songwriter, and model. She gained worldwide popularity after covering songs by popular artists on YouTube, including Rixton and Jason Derulo, as well as performing her own songs.




Cigar is an American punk rock band from Eugene, Oregon, and, later, San Diego. Cigar was formed in 1996, discovered by Fletcher Dragge of the band Pennywise.


Ian Crawford (Panic! At the Disco, The Academy Is)


Ian Crawford is a musician and vocalist most known for being a guitarist and backing vocalist for a number of different bands including The Cab, Panic! at the Disco, Never Shout Never, and The Academy Is.


Robert Cray


Robert Cray is an iconic blues musician who formed the Robert Cray Band as well as the Cray-Hawks in Eugene in the 1970s, the latter serving as the primary influence for The Blues Brothers. He has won five Grammys.


The Daddies

The Daddies have surprised many- likely familiar with them from the early 90’s- whose limited exposure to the band undoubtedly consists of an image of spray painted vans careening across the US as an iconoclastic, misfit part of an already marginalized punk/ska scene.

Ehren Ebbage


Ehren Ebbage is a songwriter, composer, and producer who performed with the Justin King Band as well as release solo music, and regularly performs with the Floydian Slips.

Justin King

Justin King is a guitarist, photographer, and world traveler. Frontman for Justin King Band (Epic Records) and King Radio, and also has released solo records. Operates a recording studio south of Eugene.


Rudolf Korv

Americana / Roots / Folk

Rudolf Korv made the trek from the southwest deserts of the Mojave to lush promise land of the Pacific Northwest, bringing with him his powerful Americana & Roots music sounds that connect with people of all genres.


Mark Lindsay

Classic Rock

Mark Lindsay was frontman with Paul Revere and the Raiders. He was the vocalist, saxophonist, writer and producer. He also had a slew of single hits including “Arizona,” a million seller. After leaving the band, he became head of A&R for United Artists Records.


Halie Loren


Halie Loren is a jazz singer originally from Alaska, now residing in Eugene. Her albums have reached number one on the Billboard Japan Top 20 Jazz Albums chart.


Courtney Love (Hole)


Courtney Love is a singer, guitarist, songwriter, and actress. A figure in the alternative and grunge scenes of the 1990s, she rose to prominence as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the alternative rock band Hole.

High energy hard Alt rock hailing from Eugene, Oregon Metalföl unleashes a heavy sound reminiscent of White Zombie, Pennywise, Chevelle, Alice in Chains, and Linkin Park.

Nico Vega is an American indie rock band formed in 2005 in Los Angeles, California, United States. They consist of Aja Volkman, Rich Koehler, Dan Epand, and Michael Pena. Volkman grew up in Eugene.



Indie Rock

Warpaint is an indie rock band formed in 2004. The band consists of Emily Kokal, Theresa Wayman, Jenny Lee Lindberg, and Stella Mozgawa. To date, the band has released four studio albums. Kokal and Wayman first met while living in Eugene, later forming the band in Los Angeles.




Yob is an American doom metal band from Eugene, Oregon, composed of singer/guitarist Michael Scheidt, bassist Aaron Rieseberg and drummer Dave French.
