MONSTERWATCH, Novacane, and Ogre

September 28 at 8:00 pm

On Thursday, September 28th, Community Center for the Performing Arts proudly welcomes MONSTERWATCH, Novacane, and Ogre to the WOW Hall.

MONSTERWATCH

MONSTERWATCH has been grabbing hold of the burgeoning PNW psych-punk scene since their entry into the fold in 2017. Since then, they have proved to be one of the most ferociously optimistic bands coming from the area. Not strapped down by the grunged-out past of Seattle, they breathe fresh air into the landscape of Seattle, comfortably crossing over between the punk scene and the ever evolving psych rock scene. The world desperately needs more bands like MONSTERWATCH, but anyone trying to replicate their sound will be disappointed, as they are truly one of a kind. As a three-piece, MONSTERWATCH brings the energy of a band twice their size. John Spinney, Ben Parker, and David Cubine churn out psych-punk cocktails like no other, leading audiences bewildered in a state of dancing, moshing and certainly smiling. These guys are not to be missed.”
Novacane

Novacane is a product of its environment. Coming to you from Portland, OR in the Pacific Northwest, the band is a reflection of the diverse music scene it inhabits, melding together the current sounds of indie rock, alternative, post punk, shoegaze, and dream pop to name a few.

The band has been making a name for themselves locally since 2017. Their debut LP Novacane debuted in 2021 and stands as their most successful to date, earning 1.5 million streams across 8 tracks.

The live show is where Novacane thrives. At the helm is singer/songwriter Dylan Latimer, who lives in a constant state of improvisation. The band’s performances are dynamic, theatrical, and forward thinking in ways they bring the best parts of their records to life and treat audiences with new interpretations they didn’t know they needed. Novacane is proud to have had the opportunity to play Portland’s most revered club venues with sold out shows at Doug Fir, Mississippi Studios, and Holocene and they look forward to their return to WOW Hall on September 29th.”
