On Friday June 10, the Community Center for the Performing Arts proudly presents Drift with special guests Dead Animal Assembly Plant

Risen from the ashes of Los Angeles hails DRIFT, the latest and greatest powerhouse of the hard rock and metal genres. Debuting their national tour in promotion of their recent album release ‘New Blood Type,’ the band has received immense praise both online and in the Southwest US region during a series of performances in 2021.

Paying homage to “the leaders of metal” as lead singer and keyboardist Anthony Morro, also known by his stage name as ‘Operator Voxx’ explains, Ghost and Rammstein inspire the band to seek the middle ground between what exists as modern-day hard rock and metal music. With great promise, the DRIFT 5-piece has been noted as having a “modern and technical sound” by Roadie Metal Magazine, paired with a “piercing and diabolical thematic notes.” Their shows, even to crowds of 100 in rural Nevada, come rigged with stadium-tour lighting and visuals, guaranteeing a one-of-a-kind live music experience.

DRIFT’s lead singer Anthony Morro jump started the project in 2019 in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles’s infamous Skid Row, detailing a rough start fueled by social change, environmental impacts, and challenging societal norms. The tracks within ‘New Blood Type’ exemplify those very moments, bringing us back to the raw energy we always knew lived inside of us.

“We couldn’t be more excited to debut this hybrid between industrial sound and modern hard rock. There’s really nothing like it. We hope you feel the same way walking away from our show.” — Anthony Morro, DRIFT

Dead Animal Assembly Plant

Dead Animal Assembly Plant proves to be quite an interesting band.  Fans of classic industrial bands like Frontline Assembly, Skinny Puppy, and Ministry will feel right at home with the band’s new album “Bring Out The Dead”.  While they have that abrasive retro industrial appeal of the early 90s scene, they do forge new aural territory throughout the album.  They have the sound and the look of an apocalyptic future similar to a Mad Max film that makes them highly entertaining.  Standout tracks are “Ironface”, “A Violent Breed”, “Behold The Righteous Plague”, “The End Of You”, and their amazing cover of Johnny Cash’s “God’s Gonna Cut You Down”. Dead Animal Assembly Plant is more of a hybrid of all of their influences than a direct sound-alike in any way.
