Communications and Scheduling Assistance

The CCPA/Wow Hall is looking to hire a Contractor for part-time Communications and Scheduling Assistance

Work Period:

The CCPA anticipates needing this assistance for approximately 3 to 4 months. The work will be compensated on an hourly basis and the CCPA reserves the right to terminate the engagement of the contractor at any time if the CCPA’s goals are not being met.

Description of Work:

Provide professional communication assistance in the following areas:

  • Monitoring the Booking and Administrative email accounts for the organization.
  • As necessary, provide timely responses to inquiries and emails to let people know their messages have been received.
  • Provide reports to the CCPA Chair, Officers, and/or the Board of Directors about which communications that have been received require responses and decisions. This includes being able to make recommendations about the viability of various requests and proposals to do events at the CCPA facility.
  • Assist with communications, scheduling, contracting, and ticketing of events approved by the CCPA Chair, Officers, and/or the Board of Directors.
  • The compensation will be $16/hr.
  • The work will be limited to no more than 30 hours a month ($480/month). Any hours above 30/month must be approved by the CCPA Chair, Officers, and/or the Board of Directors.

Required and Desirable Qualifications:

  • The contractor must be able to communicate with Artists, their representatives, and community members via email and phone in a professional manner.
  • The contractor must become familiar with various policies and practices of the CCPA that relate to the work of scheduling events at the facility.
  • The contractor must be able to provide concise and clear reports on communications and incoming inquiries so that the CCPA can make good decisions about those inquiries.
  • The contractor must possess their own Internet access, computer, software, and phone line for the work (access to the CCPA accounts necessary to do the work will be provided).
  • The contractor must possess and be skilled with the use of software for creating reports and familiar with the use of Google Gmail and Google Workspace.
  • It is desirable for the contractor to have experience scheduling/booking performing arts events, community center activities, and/or other art venue scheduling.
  • It is desirable for the contractor to have experience working within a non-profit environment.
  • It is desirable for the contractor to have experience creating cost estimate sheets and writing contracts.
  • It is desirable for the contractor to have experience maintain accounting logs for events.
