On Wednesday, March 20th the Community Center for the Performing Arts proudly welcomes Birdtalker to the WOW Hall.

Birdtalker released their debut album One in 2018 which met critical acclaim, featuring their breakout single “Heavy,” which has now amassed over 90 million streams on Spotify alone. With their self-titled sophomore album in 2021 and subsequent releases, they have come into their own with their most confident and unrestrained songs to date. Fronted by Zack and Dani Green along with Brian Seligman (guitar) and Chris Wilson (drums/percussion), Birdtalker explore how to navigate the unknown, embrace uncertainty, and learn to let go.

Alec Shaw

Alec Shaw is an ethereal soul songwriter and producer raised in the foothills of the cascades in Washington State, garnering attention as an artist whose sound has developed into a soulful combination of two large worlds of musical influence rooted in gospel and northwest folk. Vocally, he bridges a gap between Otis Redding and Jeff Buckley with a knack for engaging
and ethereal arrangements. “Quantity”, Alec’s fourth studio album, features Alec’s most creative and dramatic work
yet. Released in 2022, “Quantity” along with a live video version of the single “Spinning” landed Alec a coveted in-studio taping with KEXP, as well as a national tour in fall of 2022 with renowned Seattle indie-rock band Ivan & Alyosha. Quantity was co-produced with Andy Park (Mac Miller, Dave Mathews, Deep Sea Diver). Alec’s upcoming LP takes a more nostalgic turn in its production and songwriting, using mid-century textures and recording techniques to underscore newly explored depths of longing, struggle and hope.
